My Grandchild's First Photo
I wanted to buy out Wal-Mart on "baby's first Christmas" stuff, but since baby is happy where it's at, I set up a special photo. My daughter thought I had drank too much eggnog in setting this up and failed to see the beauty of stretch marks. That's my hand on my daughter's hands holding our baby.
I have always loved having and taking pictures. Lynne, Chris, Carly and Steven have been my inspirations in using photography as yet another creative outlet. They are on my list of favorite blogs, except for Lynne. She is my neighbor who is a retired professional photographer. If I want a particular picture, Lynne or my hubby will actually take the shot because I'm a little too shaky. I guess that's cheating, but who cares.
I am going to keep a photo journal for my 1st grandchild, with maybe a poem or two, so he or she will know their gramy.

Here's an idea for you: once baby is here when he/she is a couple of weeks old (sooner if you want), take pics of just the body parts. Hands, feet, ear, eye, nose; It's amazing. If you can do macro or close up on your camera, go for it. Fill the whole frame. Do it in black and white and use no flash. Natural light is the best. I can't wait to see that baby!! (Oh, and thanks for the compliment------>blushing!)
It's a lovely photo on many levels :-)
Don't worry about the shakes. Get a litle tripod and that will clear up most camera shake. Most cameras have a self timer.
Take lots of photos and have fun doing it!
Aww, beautiful!
Look how busy you`ll be; A camera & a new baby!
Hugs,
V
You will be a great grandmother. :-)
We agree - you will make a marvelous grandmother.

Awe Tammy, that is about the happiest tummy I ever did see. I think "baby of Grandma's twinkling eye" is quite comfortable. Gathering up energy for that mighty entry into God's outside world. Just a beautiful time of life ... cherishable forever!
Health and happyness to you and yours,
