One Deep Breath- "Perspective" Haiku

Take a close look at a person, an object or an event. Then try to look at the same thing from another perspective. Interpret perspective in the literal sense (spatially) or metaphorically. Then write TWO haiku about your chosen topic, each from a different perspective.

Flitting like a sprite
hovering, searching for fuel
nectar of the bloom

Constantly moving
searching for satisfaction
never finding home

Wonderful photo and haiku!

I loved "hovering, searching for fuel"--I've never thought of it as fuel before :-)

Thanks, Tammy!

That photo is has truly captured the magic that surrounds you. And "Woman as a Hummingbird"--that is so cool!

If I could be anything, I'd be a bird. You, Tammy, are a perfectly beautiful hummingbird.

Aha - these haiku could apply to a person as much as to the hummingbird. Beautifully crafted haiku, Tammy. And magical photo. xo

Two lovely haiku and two interesting perspectives. Lovely photo too. It's a long time since I've seen a humming bird....

that's a great photo - we don't have humming birds here, they must be beautiful. I like your two perspectives

I don't think i've ever seen a hummingbird in the flesh (feather?) - this is such a lovely pic, and the haiku complements it perfectly.... "nectar of the bloom" - gorgeous x

ps. and your SPC cracked me up - brilliant idea!

What a great photo and a lovely set of haikus! I love hummingbirds - they're so graceful, even while working so hard.

You almost caught him in the photo. He is looking at you, I can tell. You need to start putting these into a book.

The gladiola pictures are wonderful! One of my favorite flowers. What a great exercise to move out of my own perspective and see from another's! You are a haiku master, Missy!

Such a nice photo, and I like the busy sprite idea. Must confess, that I buzz around like that at times.

OMG the hummingbird reminds me of the camera commercial where the guy takes a picture of a hummingbird to demonstrate how his camera has the "image stabilization thingy" which has really unlocked his muse!
