I finally bought "The Secret Life of Bees" this morning. Have you read it? My book group is doing it next time...(I shall have to put aside my Dean Koontz "From the Corner of His Eye" if I intend to read it before we meet again!
I adore reading and have just bought 9 books from amazon on the advice of other bloggers, only to remain untouched beside my bed. Other times I can trough through 2 0r 3 in a week. It is bizarre the randomness of it all.
I'm a woman who is on a mission to educuate people about ALS. 15 cases diagnosed a day in the US. There is no cure and most die between 2-5yrs.
Ask me about ALS?
I have lived w/ALS for 19yrs and found love 6yrs ago after 13yrs as a single mom. Now I have my 4yr old grandson and love to keep me going. I am not ALS it's just a part of who I am. It has been a blessing to have been given time to cut through the crap and see the beauty in life.

I love reading about travel in books and blogs--glad to hear I'm not the only one lapping up the beautiful photos and experiences.

Very nice!! I've traveled so many places and met so many wonderful people through reading!!
Same goes for me, friend. What would we do without our books?

books are one of my favorite things! great poem about them :)
It looks as if we were thinking alike this week! I love your photo.
The love the color unity of your words and the book's binding.
i'm all about the voyeurism this week and reading is a relatively safe form ;-)
That's what I love about books too - being taken to other worlds, peeking into other lives.

Wonderful haiku and pic Tammy ... love the last line "relaxing travel" ...so true!
I would much more happily embark on a page/word journey than a plane/car journey of inconvenience and grime.
Everything I wanted tosay has been said.

Yep, I have much love for armchair travel; sometimes it's the only way to fly.
