One Deep Breath- "Countryside"

Fields in Autumn
beautiful in its vastness
wondrous sight to see.

Clouds
float
softly
gentle rain
to cleanse earth's soil
heartland's bounty given respite.

Black, brown or spotted
God's gentle giants relax
across countryside.

I am very partial to the middle poem, although all three are perfect for the prompt (gentle giants, indeed, have you ever been in a milking barn?)! Love the up-close-and-personal picture of Bossie ;-)

What a perfect haiku trio, Tammy.

I really like these Tammy. They are all beautiful. Hope Manny is doing better.

Did you take the photos yourself? I hope whoever did the last one had a zoom lens! I think the last haiku is my favourite

Oh, so beautiful. Especially the first one - such a vast and wondrous sight, indeed!

particularly fond of the last one "God's gentle giants" with the close up!

Very nice, both words and pictures!

What's up with Manny?

Great perspective, in both words and pictures!

Catherine, that's not a zoom lens. Only a wide-angle lens would create that kind of distortion — the question I have is how the photographer got the cow to hold still long enough to get that close!

Great pictures but the cows!!! What is it about cows that is just so charming???

I pass a field of cows on my morning walk... you're right! They never look stressed!!! Oh to be perpetually gentle, relaxed.

There's a very calming vibe about your haikus today. I loved them.

Tammy, I am so sorry to hear about dear old Manny. I am sending you both a lot of love -- it's the best I can do. Thinking of you a lot.

lovely images, not how I imagine Cal. to be. I suppose it's a big old state and cooler up north. nice.
