Three Word Wednesday

Awkward, Kitchen, Obsessed are the three words at http://threewordwednesday.wordpress.com/

Quest

I have moved to the sticks
but found myself in a bit of a fix.

My body is too awkward to clean my house
and I so I must leave it all to my spouse.

I tried to hire a cleaner to give him a break
and she left out the kitchen, what a mistake.

I'm in the house most days staring at the dust
so I've become obsessed, living in disgust.

My quest will continue each day
for a good cleaner to come my way.

A good job and a reasonable price
is all I ask in my mountain paradise.

This is apparently harder to find in the mountains! Photo by StockXpert.

If I lived closer, I could help you out. Do you have an extra room? Perhaps all of your blogger friends could come stay in a vacation paradise... a little cleaning too. :)

I love your first attempt at this...when we write from our heart, about life, about what we know there is a passion that might otherwise not be present. I admire and respect your courage and your strength.

Clearly trouble! I wish you luck. Reaching my own age has produced wonderful side effects - my vision isn't sharp enough to see dust and my mind isn't tuned in enough to care. I couldn't clean but maybe I could round up somebody to do it and bring 'em to you!

Great use of the prompts! And I know what you mean about the TV dominating the living room -- it's not just you. I feel the same way. And I, too, gave in to a very large screen. You do get used to it, trust me!

You crack me up. I started giggling as soon as I saw the photo (after our last conversation)!
On a serious note, I do hope you find someone good. AND...I kinda like Rose's idea too!! ; )

Love and clean kisses,
Nancy

You make me wish I lived by you so I could come and clean your house and I hate cleaning. ha ha

Before my stroke, I used to be obsessed with my cleaning but now I've learned not to sweat the small stuff...those dust bunnies will always be there to clean later. I've leaned to become very patient.

Very nicely written, Tammy.

What great rhyming! I know how it feels. In India, we do have domestic helps. And the days they don't turn is well..hell!

Welcome to 3WW!

Great rhyme and sentiment! You meter is a little funky, but, what the hay!

Your house looks wonderful. (Gautami's not bad at turning a rhyme, either...). :)

Hey, neat poem. Good luck finding yourself a housekeeper. Not only do they have to do a good, but you need to feel comfortable with.

And speaking of comfortable, how are you and your TV getting along?

Thanks for the Hattie hugs, they are needed.

Welcome to 3WW! :)

Seems to me that a lot of people are obsessed with clean homes ;-)

She who would write must let the grass grow long. And the house get dusty....

Hi Tammy - I love your take on life and how you got your poem to rhyme. I will keep my fingers crossed that a good cleaner comes your way - how could a cleaner forget the kitchen?

Good job on using the words - I wouldn't have known where to begin with that group!
Now I'm crossing the fingers of my other hand for a good cleaner to come your way - though I'm not sure how I'm gonna type with fingers crossed on both hands now :)
