Help! Need Grandma Name

I just found out my 1st grandbaby is coming earlier than expected...Yikes! I'm one of the coaches in the delivery room and with all the REALLY good drugs I'm on at night, I might miss the big event. This was to happen after Christmas, situated between Christmas and New Years while Dave is on vacation. Sure Tammy, everything revolves around you...not!

Here is my dilema, there are lots of grandmas in this baby's life and I want a special grandma name, so I need suggestions. I don't want to be grandma Tammy! I was thinking of grammy or grams. I know there's got to be one that will fit me. Any suggestions?

We don't know if it's a girl or a boy and when you hear the names you'll hope for a girl, like me. Baby girl name is Biara (made up by Jess) and baby boy name will be Tuni...not tuni fish either, I already asked. LOL My new son in law is 1/8 Mi-Wuk Indian so he's choosing a Mi-Wuk name meaning "young blood". It's actually, Tuni Kokachawoo...Yeowsa! My daughter is even praying for a girl, now the names are chosen. I miss the old days of naming kids after beloved ancestors. I guess this will be close enough.

The most important thing is that the baby and mom come out healthy! I'm so excited to know in two weeks I'll have a new baby to love and spoil. Payback time, watch out Jess!

How exciting with a new baby coming so soon! It will be years before I'm a grandmother and I'm grateful for that cause my 16 y/o is in no way ready to be a father and my 20 y/o is not interested.

They called my mother-in-law
Mee-Maw and my mother was called "Baba" which is Polish for grandmother. I'm not sure what I want to be called when its time.

My sister-in-law who is 49 and has two grandchildred is called "Nanny".

Interesting baby names. You can always do what we did with our granddaughters...NICKNAMES. Like Peanut and Sweet-tart! I wanted something to differentiate me from the other grams. I was MawMaw when they were babytalking and now am Gramma. G-R-A-M-M-A. Hubby is Gramps or Grampa.
Am looking forward to reading more of your blog. Come by mine.
Happy Holidays and Congratulations!!

Thank you for stopping by my AOL journal and leaving a comment. After coming here and reading some of your journal, I feel ungrateful for all the many blessings (one being my good health), when you are fighting the battle of your life right now, and being so optimistic and upbeat about your life. God sends people to us just when we need them there. Thank you for helping me to wake up and be thankful.

I'll be back, Tammy.

God Bless..

I'm so excited for you! I wanted Xander to call me Jem (G-M, for grandma, shortened to Jem). However, he ended up talking late and I'm just happy that he calls me "Gramma" or actually, "Miss Gramma" (thank you, pre-school teachers!). Oh, and we don't tell her this, but he refers to his other grandma as "Big Gramma". LOL!

Good luck!
