Sunday Scribblings - Three Wishes
The subject this week is what would you wish for if you had three wishes. I had to think long and hard on this one, I kept hearing "Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it."
FIRST WISH- Mana from heaven for the whole planet!
You get just what you need everyday, no more, no less. Starving people would
be fed, no more obesity, better health and no more grocery shopping. We would adjust in time. OK, it would be hard.
SECOND WISH- No more stereotypes!
I would love to have us look at each other without preconceived ideas on who we
are. Race, color, religion or looks would not be how we judge each other. We
would judge on actions. That would be really cool :)
THIRD WISH- I would like to be healthy as long as my husband lives.
This one is just for Dave and I. I have come to terms with death from having
Lou Gehrig's. I don't want to ever leave Dave and would love to throw away
the walker and dance. Bad health made me a better person and knowing what I learned, I would like to be healthy once more.

Tammy,
Yours are most humane wishes! All the best for your continued good health.

I'll dance one in your name...
Long live the survivor.

These wishes seem so reasonable and the first two would certainly solve a lot of problems in the world. I wish I could live up to this name and wave a magic wand your way...
Tammy, thank you for this powerful post. "Bad health made me a better person and knowing what I learned, I would like to be healthy once more." I have found this to be true of many people who have struggled with an illness or some major challenge in their lives - they become stronger and more appreciative of life's gifts. You are an inspiration, Tammy and I hope you get your wishes - especially the third one! Bonne courage!
Wonderful wishes. I am a firm beliver in the first two as being a necessity in this world. As for your hird and most personal wish may it come true over and over again for you. All the best for continued health from me as well.
Your wishes are absolutely beautiful, and you are, too! Such generous wishes--sensible, intelligent, compassionate! As for the final one, my thoughts are with you as you continue your battle! May all of your wishes come true! xo
What marvelous wishes, Tammy! I love the depth and generosity of your wishes and thoughts. I'll keep praying for that third wish for you :-) You're an inspiration and such a gift has surely earned a lifetime of love and happiness.
Here's wishing that your wishes will come true...
My prayers for your wishes to come true!
oh Tammy, these are wonderful wishes - when i made my wishes today i secretly saved a little bit for later- i send this extra portion of wish magic to you :-)

My prayers are with you for renewed health. Some years ago I broke both femurs and couldn't walk for quite some time...it is difficult to describe the inner turmoil that is created when you become dependent (in a physical sense) on family in a way that you were not accustomed. It is a humbling experience to be certain but, like you, the experience gave me a valuable insight that I may never had otherwise had.
The idea of daily mana for everyone on earth is wonderful; the lack of stereotypes would create such harmony; but your last wish takes my breath away. Your spirit is inspirational, and I love that you have the courage to keep dreaming. God bless you. Your wishes are turning to my prayers.
How generous your wishes are! May they all come true.
May your wishes come true.
Love the mana wish! Did you know that "mana" means "what is it?" The Israelites didn't recognize it as the promised provision of God - but He was faithful.
Prayers that your other wishes will become reality someday! Thanks for your kind comments on my post. (PS - love the picture of you and the darling in the swimming pool. So sweet!)
These are beautiful wishes, and I wish that all of them would come true. I love the pic of you and TK, and the new ones on Flickr, too!

These are wonderful wishes - and I do hope that they all come true!
I just wanted to let you know that we are not ignoring you about the button - it's just that we've never HAD the code to make one!! People have taken the picture and made their own buttons - neither Laini or I are very technically minded & we are learning as we go, so I can't tell you what the code is for it! I'm really sorry! If you ask someone who has one they should know how to make one!! :}
Tammy, so well-thought out and so good for all of us. I hope your wishes come true, thanks.
Beautiful wishes...may they all come true!
I'm hoping all your wishes come true too, tammy. A very touching piece of writing. beautiful!
Great wishes.
I used to think about your second wish but always came to the conclusion that if you erased all current stereotypes, that all new ones would evolve in their absence. Not being pessimistic, it's just our tendancy to classify things. Once you have them classified, then some people start using generalizations and then stereotypes are born.
I don't have any sociological studies to back that up, just my thoughts. Just like I used to think how if everyone was rich and no one was poor, you'd still have someone being the "least rich" or relatively poor. Then again, it would be a better place if the poorest person at least had food, shelter, and medical treatment.
Great post, especially #3.
Beautiful wishes from a beautiful woman.
Love~
