One Deep Breath - "Simple Pleasures"

My Backward Fibs (1+1+2+3+5+8)
Laughter of children make hearts sing
smiles filled with light
innocence
wonder
hope
joy
Distance make grandsons grow too fast
pictures measure growth
chats on phone
so far
miss
you
These are Dave's grandsons, Dimitri and Ethan, who live in Washington. The pictures and phone calls are never enough because they grow so fast! Dave can't wait to hold them on the next visit :)

I have tears, that is great Tammy. So nice :)

Those backward fibs are wonderful! I can relate as I rarely see my nieces who are quickly becoming young women.
I love how the form of the backward fib really complements the subject matter of that second one in particular.
Great Haiku babe,I do miss them and they do grow fast so quickly as did our children. Thanks for the haiku ....Love dave
More beautiful children and beautiful words! N' true!
your fibs are so touching....and the children are adorable (what inspiration!)
Oh, Tammy, you never cease to amaze me. I love these upside down fibs. Rather than expanding, they distill the emotions as they go until you are left with the essence: "joy" and "miss you"
Hope you had a great weekend (Manny too)
Children are one of the best things that exist in this life, at least, that's how I see it.
Thanks for sharing the pics.

These are just super! How clever you are to do them backwards, so that those really important message words stand out alone at the end.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend, and had time for lots of small pleasures :)
How creative! I love these. Laughter of children do make my heart sing. :)
They do grow too fast, don't they?
Adorable!

They are lovely, it almost makes me want grandchildren of my own :) I agree about the way you have made the important words stand out at the end, by writing the "fibs" backwards
The boys are so cute!
Loved your fibs.
Backwards fibs! Adorable! And those little cherubs - even more so! Just precious. Thanks for sharing these joys in your life. And I tried to write you previously about Manny but the computer crashed. So sorry and hope he´s feeling better - and you, dear heart! I am behind on writing and reading posts. These intensive classes are getting too intense! xo
Beautiful, beautiful children! What a wonderful poem expressing a grandmother's love and longing for her little ones.
You are just full of too much creativity and inspiration. I guess I am sort of glad I don't live nearby, I would be exhausted and just a little jealous. What precious babies...I can wait to hold them myself!
Good looking kids and great poems.
