The Round Robin Photo Challenge

I was asked to choose the topic for this weeks photo challenge and since I'm near the finish line for Nanowrimo, I chose "what are you thankful for?" This picture represents what I'm thankful for and that is the beauty in my everyday life. These are beautiful iris' that are blooming at the end of November and in 24 degree temperatures in my yard. They stand tall and strong despite the harsh world surrounding them. I watch everyday as they fight to live. If you look close you can see the sun hitting the mountain and the fall colors. Awesome!
I had to add that I'm thankful and blessed to have shared my grandson's first year of life!
Never leaving out my husband, who made it back safely from the harsh storm that hit WA over Thanksgiving. He really got to spend quality time with his grandson's.

I'm going to reach 30,000 words by Thursday in Nanowrimo and I'm so thrilled at my progress that I will finish my novel. I can probably lift a small truck with my one typing finger, but I'm THANKFUL for the push the contest gave me.

Special thanks to Pam and Helen who cheered me on everyday! You all have made this 30 day challenge easier and thank you for all the cards and he emails that comforted me when I lost my Manny dog.

Tammy,
What great photos! Family is so wonderful, and your grandson is so cute! Congratulations on the novel! That's an awesome accomplishment! I've written several short stories and some poetry, but I don't think I could write a novel, every day for a whole month! Amazing. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! --Robin

Breathtaking photo of the irises, Tammy!

And congratulations backed by much admiration for what you've accomplished in NaNoWriMo. I know I can't begin to imagine the focus you must have to reach 30,000 words using one finger (even though it's a very experienced finger!). I'm sure I'd have forgotten my line of thought if I had to depend on just one. You have reason to be proud and I give you a standing ovation (while juggling my laptop to less)!

I hope we'll see more from you when December comes around; I've missed you my friend.

Oh Tammy... I can never express how I feel when I read your entries. It just creates this feeling of wishing I could climb through the computer, give you a hug, and be your close friend.

You are one of the richest people I know. For every "bad" thing in your life that most people would whine about, you have treasures, like those in these photos.

You inspire me.

Yay for your writing! Such a cool goal to achieve. :)

I'm sorry about Manny, if I didn't get to tell you. :(

The pic here are so sweet! He is really growing, your little guy. What a cutie.

And also, I see you are reading The Lovely Bones. It is good. But if you like it, you should also read "The Mercy of Thin Air". Different author, but similar idea, and the writing! Oh my. It is really beautiful. I loved it even more than Lovely Bones. ;) Do you ever listen to books on cd? I have it on cd, and book-form.(I got it as a give away when i was at Borders). I could send it to you.

:)

So sorry to hear about Manny, Tammy. You're in my heart, as you have been throughout NaNoWriMo. As I wrote (and sometimes whined to myself about the challenge I'd taken on), I was--as always--cheered and inspired by your work and your attitude.

Beautiful pictures. Glad to see you back blogging.
