Happy 1st Birthday, One Deep Breath

Susan and Jennifer have done a wonderful job at http://onebreathpoetry.blogspot.com/ . I have enjoyed learning about different haiku styles that have challenged my creativity. Thank you for all your time and effort. *smooches*
This week, in celebration, we can choose our own prompt. I spent a frustrating weekend trying to capture these two hummingbirds feeding on my Lilies'. They have been zipping around so quickly that I could not get off a good shot. I'm using the best of the worst shots and because the little turds took up so much of my weekend, my haiku is on hummingbirds.

Ah, you get the best pictures! And I love hummingbirds. The Hummingbird card always comes up inmy totem animals...They remind me of my grandpa, because of his garden. Always attracted so many, and as a child I thought they were sort of magical.
:)
wonderful photos and beautiful poem :) and what a beautiful orange lilies!
You captured the hummingbirds, the poetic spirit, and a wonderful tribute to Susan and Jennifer perfectly. Much peace and love to you dear Tammy. xx, JP
Tammy!! Thank you! Thank you! I just ADORE hummingbirds - tho' never seen any ... but just to know someone who has and who captured them so beautifully in picture and word, has made my day!
Just adorable. Beautiful.
I think it was worth the effort to get the photos, Tammy. The whole post is so attractive, done in orange and green. Can you believe Maine only has one kind of hummingbird? So far, I haven't gotten a good shot at my feeder, but will keep trying!
We have one kind of hummingbird, too, the Ruby throated. Great photos! and I love your haikus, especially "Orange silk tablecloth." Beautiful!
Love you!
I love your description of the lily as the orange silk tablecloth. Lovely photos too, especially the last one! Hummingbirds are wonderful!
Gawd your pics are awesome... the last one is my favorite. I luv orange and the hummingbird is a true treasure, what a welcome to a winged friend! Have a great week!
Beautiful lilies and I think you did a great job, both in the pictures and the haiku.
Hee hee! They are little buggers, aren't they? But beautiful and amazing, too! You got some wonderful shots of them and as usual, your haikus are perfect!
xoxo
This is an entry of pure beauty! What patience you must have. (Yes, I suppose hummingbirds would, um have little turds... hee.) Your set of haiku is simply delightful. Repeat customer is my fave. By the way you've been tagged on my blog.
The cheeky little critters ! I tried to chase them too but they refused to pose.
Love the haikus (the second one is my favourite).
I love the "refueling" and the "orange silk tablecloth." We just took our feeder down, having only one stop by on its way through. I'm sure they like the natural food of your beautiful lilies more than the sugar water we provide ;-)
I think you did a fine job, with both the pictures and the poetry! I love hummingbirds!
'Best of the worst'?? - looks like you captured a couple of GREAT shots to me! Love hummingbirds - I just finally hung up a little beaded one outside - I got it as a souvenir on our trip. I'm wondering now what the real ones will think of it. Great poetry here, too! XOXO
these photos are so fabulous, all that delicious orange and wow ~ great job with the hummingbird, truly, they move so darn fast ;)
i heart 'orange silk tablecloth' and the beauty that emerges from your words ... lovely!
Your pictures go so well with the words I am just breathtaken and I have nothing worthy to say. Thanks for your superb abilities and sharing them with us all.
"Orange silk tablecloth...repeat customer." Better than a painting I must say you have a wonderful way with words.
Your pictures - and your haiku - are lovely! It's very hard to get pictures of hummingbirds and you've done it! I especially like the last haiku - very imaginative. xo
Darling images and haiku to go with. I really like the first one. I am reminded how we need to stop too, to refuel. Thanks ;)
WOW!! What a feast for the eyes. Just gorgeous!!
I LOVE those pics!!! and your haiku too!!! DARLING!!!
Ah, but it's their flitting that makes your pictures so descriptive. And great haiku, too, as always.
Love the colors and words! Hummingbirds are very graceful, and so are these lilies...
