Labor of Love

Our 8ft tall Jasmine keep the house smelling nice for buyers, if there were any. :)

I missed Dave's Iris' this year but the Day Lilies are blooming.

My personal favorites :)

At the new house I discovered an oak shelf at the end of the hallway with major water damage. The previous owners must have watered plants on it. I was relegated to Dave's personal tool belt (see screwdrivers in my bib) because he kept losing them. I wanted a promotion to shelf fixer-upper but my foreman was very sceptical. I pleaded like a five year old and got the job! My curled up fingers were perfect for sanding, even if elbow grease was kinda low, I did it! (Ok, foreman helped)
Notice the artistic two handed flair and the help of my tongue sticking out for focus? I rocked that shelf!

Dave was bursting with pride as I also cleaned the sliding doors. It may have taken a 2 day recovery but the love in his eye's was soooo worth it! I think a table runner and grandbabies were meant for this shelf :)

I was wondering how you sanded the shelf, knowing what our hands are like. Good job, Robin! A table runner with grandbabies would be perfect, absolutely.

Love you!

Thanks so much for dropping by my Sunday Scribbling.
Your home is simply beautiful.
And the trees on the side yard at your new house are magical.
Have a wonderful week,
Frances

You can't see it, but I'm smiling so big. I love these pictures! Your favorite day lily would be mine also, so beautiful. And I love the pictures of you working at the new house (stylin' tools in the bib pockets there!), such pretty oak cupboards.

I think the work you accomplished was worth the two-day rest.

Great job, Tammy! Lookin'good. Your daylilies are beautiful. My husband got the rototiller and chopped all mine out (the weeds were as high as they were, so I guess he thought that was easier than pulling the weeds....made me mad.) But, oh well.

I think he wants to put roses in there. "Trust me," he said. "It'll look good. Trust me."

We'll see....

I'm just green with envy at your jasmine. - I nurse mine as a house-plant (Don't think it would survive winter outdoors here), but can't coax it to fower. If I was in the market for a house there, that would sell it to me before I'd stepped in the door!

Well done on the work with the shelf. You truly are a warrior!

The jasmine, and the way it grows up the house, is beautiful.

I am glad to see that you live life to its fullest despite the illness. I am sad that it took you a 2 day recovery.
