3WW - "The Mist"

The Mist

Floating through the trees

a mysterious mist filled the air

breathing a heavy sigh

clinging in silence.

I stand there alone listening,

letting it stroke my face.

Feeling the calm of a

parallel universe.

Through veiled eyes I see

only beauty and peace

but I must bounce

back to reality.

I wrote this with a migraine but I really loved my first mountain mist. My husband happened to have rented "The Mist" by Stephen King that day. ;)

My thought's and prayer's go to Bone our moderator. Thank you Pia for stepping up!

I can imagine myself standing there enjoying the peace, like a mediation of sort

Whenever I get into nature I become entranced, too! This is beautiful!

The mist looks beautiful and the poem was entrancing

But it's been raining so much here--if I never see it again

Beautiful, I can almost feel the mist on my face, in a peaceful, reflective way. That is until I think about Steven King, then I want to run, his stuff scares me to death!! Your poem is really lovely. What a talent you have.

Beautiful - goes so well with the photo.

It is a parallel world, and so near.

I LOVE this poem! Good job, Tammy.

I just read the obit of an old fellow who died recently at age 84--he had had ALS for 46 years! They said he died of ALS, but at 84, who knows?

Tammy, I feel the peace and solitude, and what we can see through our veiled eyes...then sadly, we must bounce back to reality....wonderful thoughts for the prompt -- and you did it with a migraine?!? You are one incredible lady!!!

Tammy - if you can write like that with a migraine . . . . .

Lovely in its celebration of the moment; in the acceptance of reverie's limits.

Both the photo and poem of your mist are beautiful, Tammy - they conjure up a sense of mystery ;)

I haven't seen the movie, but I read his story it was based on - and I'm not sure I would have been brave enough to be out taking photos of mist right after reading it, lol - you're definitely a braver woman than I am!
