Sunday Scribbling - "I Knew Instantly..."

I knew instantly
as you were placed in my arm's
my heart would never
beat without yours.

I knew instantly
as you passed before my eye's
It would never be forever,
but until we meet again.

I knew instantly
as I looked into your eye's,
your rare love reflected,
a strong eternal flame.

I knew instantly
as he gave me the diagnosis
I would not accept it while
living until the cure.

I knew instantly
as I counted my blessing's
I had been given a gift
of staring down death.

Hi Tammy,
I don't know if you remember me? I used to visit here regularly, but I've not been blogging in quite a while and lost my link list. I've been seeing a "Tammy" on sites I've re-found or new ones and wondered if it was you!

Your poem tugs at my heart: powerful words of love plus highlights your battling skills. I'm delighted to have found you again and to be reading here.

Hugs,
Gel

This is what I'm talking about...and why the poem came to me about you for the osi prompt 'distractions'!
