Round Robin Photo Challenge-"Summer Garden"

Gardening is a true calling for my hubby and has brought color and joy to my life. rRose of http://journals.aol.com/rrveh1/WAIT-NOTYET-/ has asked "How does your garden grow." I found some pictures of how are garden looked this summer. The deer were eating Dave's flowers the other night so he has sprayed smelly stuff all over the flowers to keep them away. He's fighting mad so they better watch out! We need these flowers to dress up the yard for my daughter's sunrise wedding. The yard won't be very bridal with just stems and leaves.
His Begonias that he adores
Our swing with white rose petals
BBQ among the flowers
We have four 8 ft Jasmine bushes up against the house near windows. We hope the neighborhood likes the fragrance ;)

You have such natural decorations for a wedding. The rug salesman told me he saved his tulips this spring from the deer by shavings of Irish Spring soap all over the ground. It is worth a try!

Oooh I LOVE the smell of jasmine!!! I don't think I can grow it here (MA)

Fresh jasmine is wonderful. Incense stick makers can never replicate that wonderful sweet aroma.

Your garden is beautiful Tammy.

You are inspiring me to sort mine out.....maybe next summer though!

Tammy, what incredibly gorgeous pictures these are! If I lived in your house I'd be outside all day painting these incredible vistas!

You have reminded me that there are so many flowers that I can no longer enjoy here in Florida. Those hollyhocks are one of them. But I am not complaining. (yes I am, lol)

What a lovely setting for a wedding! Wish I was your neighbor, by the way!

hugs,
Maryanne

What a beautiful place! I'd be sneezing my head off in two minutes, but it's gorgeous - and wonderfully photographed.

Hi Tammy

Lovely and peaceful. I love Jasmine as well, I wear that scent almost everyday. :) Are those snapdragons I see or is that Stock? Stock has such a pretty, specy scent I can almost smell it as I type this. LOL. Gorgeous, thanks for playing along with us.

What a great garden. Nice job, Dave. I think you can probably even make the begonia drip system look beautiful.

Tammy, thanks for talking about your ALS and the insane struggle with doctors. Sigh.

These photos, lovely as they are, I'm sure don't begin to do the beauty of your garden justice. How lucky your daughter is to be getting married in such a beautiful place, surrounded by people she loves. xo
