Beauty and the Beast

Dave's begonias are so bright I need shades to look at them. :)

When I met Dave I had this very cool "alternating pressure mattress pad." It had diamonds that would alternately fill with air during sleep. This allowed me to remain a side sleeper and not awaken to sore pressure points. Dave said it felt like there was something creepy under the covers, not to mention the mattress sighs and raised me above my husband in bed.

When we married he bought a fancy Sleepnumber bed that made the pad obsolete...yayy! It has massage and the head and feet can be raised. After 3 good years it's no longer enough, so we are back to sleeping with the sighing creeper. I'm loving it, but Dave and my animals have some adjusting to do. A week ago it was the mattress and slippery bubbles that caused me to fall out of bed. I hit the nightstand with my head and my thigh hit a make-shift step. Here is the beast that resulted in my own adjustment period. The butt of my Ebay joke from previous post. What do you see Joyce? LOL (7 days old)

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts for my "awake" surgery. I had a fibroid taken out awake in 1983 while pregnant with my first baby and no "happy shot." I'm alot tougher now and know what to expect, not to mention I have no smell for the cauterizing part. I'll be fine!

Wow; that's a whopper of a bruise! I see a) a footprint of the right foot or b) a late night sky with eerie clouds trying to obscure the moon. I'm not sure either of those would make it ebay-worthy though. But the latter would certainly go along with your sighing creeper ;-)

Oh, my gosh, Tammy -- you have been going through a lot in the past week! I was so concerned when I saw your bruise and read about your upcoming surgery. When it rains, it really does pour. I think I see the profile of someone wearing a baseball cap in your bruise. I'm sending you extra good energy and hugs!

Hope it heals quickly - and your upcoming surgery, too - you're in my thoughts and prayers, brave warrior woman

Just catching up. I've been pretty busy getting ready for one more move...before the last move. Your bruise makes me wince. Ouch! I also wish you the best on your surgery. You will do surprisingly fine, I just somehow know.

Hell of a bruise, dear friend, it looks a little bit like tie-dye to me. Mine is a little bit smaller and looks like a floating duck.

You know I'll be with you in heart and mind on Wednesday and we'll celebrate your success with a PC chat.

It's the beginning of August and I'm counting the days till October when we will finally meet, face to face. Oh, joy!

i'm pretty sure I see a hand, with the index finger pointing. Not sure what the other yellow parts are.

I've never heard of a mattress like that... but if it had even the slightest bit of slipperyness, I'm sure I'd fall off of it! LOL Some of us are just drawn to bruises!

I don't see Jesus, but I see a bunny on a ball getting handed something from an owl. Do you see that too? maybe he is handing him a carrot?
You are a trooper sweetheart. :)
