Sunday Scribblings - Vision for Robbin

WHITE DAISIES

I strolled silently as a ghost
that appears without notice or direction,
when suddenly I spot a gathering,
A legion, of white daises;
Under the cedars, beside the path,
Smiling and reaching for the sun.

Happy as the child at play
and awed at the blue of the sky,
They stand in tall crowds
a head above the rest;
hundreds I seem to count,
pinwheels in touching embraces.

For when stillness sets with the sun
and thoughts steal the light,
I remember them in my mind
which always brings a smile to my lips;
and then my heart expels the crazies,
with visions of smiling white daises.

This was written for my friend Robbin at http://cedarchestofdreams.blogspot.com/ who is a fellow warrior battling cancer just after losing her 30yr old son. She really needs healing thoughts and prayers.

Oh, Tammy, that is beautiful! Thank you for doing that for someone who I think is pretty special. And thank you that it is a HAPPY and HOPEFUL poem, too! As if the rest of your blog wasn't all the proof I needed, now I think you're pretty special as well. :-)

Strange, I have found your posting at this moment. I am having a few tears. Usually I am strong, but some days are tough.

I am struggling to support my dear partner who has cancer. There never seems to be enough money to support both of us. I needed this posting to remind me how lucky I am to have a man who loves me totally. He is the one who picks me up at times when I feel I am not giving him enough (like right now!). I so dearly wish I could give him more! Even a meal out together would be great!

I'll stop! And remember your beautiful posting instead! Thank you so much for this! You are definitely a winner!

Tammy,
Gosh, some people sure seem to get an unfair share of life's burdens. Fortunately, sometimes they are blessed with the friendship of wonderful people like you Tammy.

Tammy, this patch of daisies looks just like mine. Last year the rabbit or a deer (some furry mammal) kept eating the flowers and I didn't get much joy from the plants, but this year seems to be better! Daisies are the happiest of flowers, aren't they?

Very lovely. My yard is overflowing with daisies right now. Although they do not last long, I surely do love their crisp, clean blooms!

Thanks for visiting NICKERS AND INK.

Even in the most sexually liberated and self-satisfied of nations, many people still yearn to burn more, to feel ready for bedding no matter what the clock says and to desire their partner of 23 years as much as they did when their love was brand new.
The market is saturated with books on how to revive a flagging libido or spice up monotonous sex, and sex therapists say “lack of desire” is one of the most common complaints they hear from patients, particularly women.
