Back to Normal with a Twist

I'm now fully recovered from that nasty bug I brought home. Just when I'm ready to get back into a blog routine I'm hit with a move. These beautiful shots were views from my sick bed and now I must bid these hills farewell. Dave got a great job near our new home just yesterday and will start Nov 5. I will be moving THIS weekend and getting settled in before he starts.

We do have a possible nibble on my current home but it's a low bid and they have not been through the house yet. I bought this home 9yrs ago on my own as a single mom so it will be very sad to leave. Hopefully they come to see it before we move or the moving chaos could kill the whole deal. I need to hide the fact that our whole block has lost water for a few days due to a burst pipe...Ewww! Can we say added STRESS!

Deep breaths and calm thoughts are needed as I prepare to say goodbye to my TK. 2 1/2 hours is not bad but our weekly visits will be no more. :(
I must cancel my DSL service on Friday and revert to mountain life blogging via dial-up in 7-10 days. My new email will be tammyndavid@att.net (I hope) the gal spoke terrible English and with my slur you never know. I'm an emotional basket case even though I want this change. I just did not think it would happen so fast. See you all soon!

Tammy, you and Dave are in my thoughts and prayers as you make all these changes. May they all bring happiness and joy to you :)

Sometimes fast change is the best, it doesn't give you time to worry or dwell. I can't stand waiting for things to happen. I'm so happy you guys get to move!

Change, even when it's good, is always so unsettling. Hugs to you Tammy, I'll keep you in my prayers. Pop over to my blog, I have an award for you :-)

Sending you good wishes for an easy move and a comfortable adjustment. I find it quite difficult to relocate, no matter how much I might like my new home. I don't feel connected at once, and it must happen gradually for me. Consequently, I go though a period where I feel uprooted.

Maybe you guys will be able to get DSL or cable at some point. Will you be in a totally rural area? Are you safe from the fires? I hope everything there is fine.

After you get settled please send out an email announcement of your new email address so we can all save it and be sure it is correct when we do.

Hugs, Sky

My very dear, lovely friend. Sometimes the new chapters in our lives start with chaos and quick decisions, but I have such faith in you and Dave and know your new story will be a beautiful one. And when all the moving business gets to be too much, just remember "our song" and know that I am there with you.

All my love,
Batman

I am so very glad to hear that your bug is gone. After the chaos of the move, things will settle down and will begin to feel 'normal' again. I'm happy for Dave's new job, and I feel sure you will come to love the new views from your new windows!

Don't work too hard, and stay well!

Oh how difficult. I've been in my own chaos lately (similar stuff as you know)...but we just MUST talk tomorrow sometime. I'll look for you and if I don't see ya, I'll call.
Love and all that,
Nance

Congratulations to Dave, I am sure he is somewhat relieved. Good luck on the nibble and I hope it becomes a bite. You certainly have been dealt a lot of issues in such a small window of time and after just recovering from an illness. Listen to some gentle music and pace yourself. It will all come about in it own good time.

Wow! What a lot of changes - but most of them sound positive and I'm sure once you get moved and settled, you'll feel better. Great news about Dave's job! He is a wonder, isn't he? Sending lots of good thoughts and prayers your way, dear heart. As the French say, bonne courage with your move (and the sale of your home)! xoxox

Well done to Dave! I'm so glad you're finally getting to move to your new home... Yes, I know it involves a MOVE, but it will be worth it. Take care of yourself. Best wishes to you both.

Just got home from school, and voila, there was Anne's message. What a break-job, move, house, and we won't mention the water main. This is so great. Congrats.

I can still see boxes everywhere and you wondering what that label "miscellaneous" means on the medium sized box that sits in the hallway. Sending you energy and good nights of sleep.
